Refund Policy for Memberships in American Pickleball Association (“APA”)

 

The APA does not offer refunds of paid membership fees except in limited situations as detailed below.

 

Refund Policy Details:

  • A refund of the membership fee, without interest, will be issued within 30 days if the Northwest Denver Pickleball Facility located at 88th & Wadsworth, Westminster, CO (“Facility”) is not completed.  Membership fees paid prior to completion will be held in escrow until the Facility is completed, at which time the fees automatically become non-refundable.  The Non-Profit Developer has put $250,000 donation in the bank to assure completion.)

  • A member who can document a medical condition which arose after purchase of the membership that prevents the member from playing pickleball will be issued a refund within 30 days of verification by APA of the documentation sent to APA.

  • A member who can document a permanent change of residence outside the metro Denver area which arose after purchase of the membership that prevents the member from playing pickleball at the Facility will be issued a refund within 30 days of verification by APA of the documentation sent to APA.

 

Additional Information Applicable to Refunds:

  • If documentation is required above for a refund to be considered, the documentation should be sent to American Pickleball Association.org 7687 W. 88th Ave., Arvada, CO 80005.  Documentation should include the member’s full name, membership or account number, and current address, email, and telephone number.

  • The amount of refund will be solely for the fee paid or pro-rata portion of the year from the time of purchase.

  • Refunds will be provided on the same credit card used to purchase the membership and the timing of the refund appearing on the credit card statement will depend on the card issuer’s policies. 

  • In the event of a refund, APA will not be responsible for any credit card issuer charges or other charges incurred by the member related to the purchase or refund of the membership fee, including but not limited to bank charges, commissions, or overdrafts.
